I use a good cut of rump roast if I can find it, and this recipe is pretty much the same as mine except that I add 1/2 a cabbage, sliced thinly, added to the potato and carrot layer and plop the meat on top of the veggies. Use whatever spices you like (I always add allspice to roast beef and nutmeg to poultry dishes cuz that's how I grew up eating food). I also cook the meat until it will shred with a fork and then I put the meat inside a hot dog bun or a hamburger bun, usually made from whole wheat and I make my own, but if you use store bough from their bakery it's just about as good. This makes a whole dish in one pan or crock pot, however you wish to cook it and however long you want it to take.
