The MOST obvious food wasn't even included!

Go figure.

What about Watermelon??  Especially if you put SALT on it like my family does, or I should say my family did that whilte I was growing up.  One of my brothers even used a mixture of salt and pepper on his,  too weird for me!  Then again, he used pepper on everything.  If we weren't Swedish in heritage, I'd swear he was part mexican because he LOVES hot/spicy foods.  The rest of my family, not so much.  An onion was considered spicy to my Dad!!  And GREEN ONIONS?  Heh, no way would he eat one of those, chopped or otherwise.  We also ate A LOT of  apples and oranges and watermelon;  my Dad would buy them by the BOX at a roadside stand whenever he found one in our area.  My whole family adored black cherries except the pits were a hassle and Mom would find cherry pits spit all over the place - - indoors and outdoors alike.
