If I were him I'd leave that post no matter WHAT they were paying me.  The abuse that poor guy has had to withstand in the past 3 1/2 years is simply not worth it.  But, they ARE just words so maybe he just doesn't care WHAT they say - - and maybe he's right.  But if it were me, well . . .
