Why can't the companies who sell stuff online (like Walmart) just let customers have a way to respond to things, rather than having to jump through hoops just to tell them to PLEASE NOT MAKE SUBSTITUTIONS ON MY ORDERS????? It's a very simple concept, one none of these companies seem to understand. They all have online addresses which do not permit people to respond - - well THAT'S helpful.
Oh, they let you check "this box or that box" but you cannot just make a direct statement. My son had to make some calls for me over the weekend in order to return something that had been cancelled (by the company, not by me) and then they got it back in stock or whatever and went ahead and delivered it without my knowledge and I had already re-ordered a similar item from another company. I'm NOT A MIND READER, and I have no way to respond to tell them NOT to send things, etc. It's disgusting, because they have this SERVICE that's supposed to help people who stay home most of the time (like me) but then they screw it up by not communicating or having a way for the buyer to communicate. MMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, it's just maddening.

When they make the delivery, they set the bags on my front porch and knock on the door and go hop back into their car and leave before I could ever HOPE to get to the front door. Since I injured my hip I can barely go up and down the steps, so there's no way I could get down there in time to look things over and tell them ANYTHING. If the driver would knock and then wait a few minutes (I usually holler out that I'm coming to the door, but obviously their either don't listen or don't want to hear me) and they are driving away long before I could ask for help.
This is just bugging me to no end. I am going to keep trying to communicate with them (Walmart) this afternoon, but I fear it's a useless gesture.
But by golly they want you to give them a driver $ tip. At the price of gas I usually do but I sure am not tipping them on their service, that's for sure.
