We used to have good men, even in the movies, and even if it was a movie produced and directed by the ridiculous Rob Reiner.  It was his ONE good performance contribution.  Since that time he's become a fathead for real (or was it meathead from All in the Family??!!!).

I never thought tom cruise was particularly good looking but he was a pretty decent actor.  So was Kevin Bacon and of course Jack Nicholson is a legend.
