Do we really need a guy who was high up on the ladder at Pfizer to head our HHS office? I think it's going to be one of those regrettable but unfixable moves on the part of President Trump. We've already seen how bad some of his choices have been.
And no, Alex Azar is not going to bring down prices on drugs or insurance, he's not going to "fix" the opioid problem (because no one in WADC seems to understand the problem for what it really is). The people who really need painkillers are not the people who are abusing the system. But HHS and WADC don't GET that concept at all.
AH well. Time will tell the enormity of the mistake with this appointment.
