Trixie Belden

Do you remember reading these books while you were a pre-teen?  I sure do.  I read all the Nancy Drew books, the Hardy Boy books, and the Trixie Belden books.  I tried to read them in the order they were written, but if the one I needed wasn't available at the library, I would just take the next one in line.

This is a fascinating account of the inspiration behind the books, and there is also a neat comparison between the Nancy Drew and the Trixie Belden characters.

This is the home page of the "series" books written starting in the early 1900's, some of which were continued into the 1980's!  That's about the time kids stopped being interested in reading books, how sad.
