Should we be removing historic statues?

Will taking down a few statues really change anything?  Highly doubtful.  History is already a done deal and dismantling American icons isn't going to change what really happened in the past.  But I do agree that nothing we've been taught in the american public fool system is truthful, either.  If you really want to know what went on in the past and what principles built this country, you have to dig around and find out for yourself.  You will not learn anything by listening to some ridiculous college professor who thinks he has answers - he doesn't.
