Well, I sure hope store-bought Lifeway (brand) Kefir is good for a person because I had to start buying it this week, since my milk kefir grains died off a while back.  I don't know what happened to them - - I thought they were supposed to "grow" not die off, but mine went the same route as my water kefir grains - dead.  I did exactly what the instructions said to do and they lived and seemed to be thriving for the past 8 months, now all of a sudden - curtains.

Ah well.  Does anyone use or know about Lifeway kefir?  What I can find online (not anecdotal though) sounds ok but I'd like "personal use" testimonies.
