McIntosh Apple Tree Info

Over the years, we've tried to grow a number of smaller, blooming trees in our yard but it seems like for the past 4-5 years we've had such terrible summer storms that either the wind or the hail always take out our little saplings before they have a chance to get big enough to survive.  Our next project is going to be a McIntosh Apple Tree.  My parents had several of these trees and the apples, although not quite the same as the McIntosh's from the store in size (which are usually imported and sprayed to high heaven) they are a lot better tasting and grow well in our area of the country.  My parents lived in Zone 3 and I live now in Zone 4.  Also, their's were called Snow Apples rather than McIntosh, but they are the same thing.
