We live in a culture of total alarmism

Which is perpetuated by crap like this article.  I can't even believe this thing made it into print (I'm talking about the article written by Julie Gunlock and published in the Wall Street Journal recently.  I would have thought the WSJ had more sense . . . ) 

Reading stuff like this makes me sick.  To think there are actually people out there who are STUPID enough to believe this type of propaganda is what REALLY makes me sick.  Doesn't anyone think for themselves at all any more?  Does everyone believe EVERYTHING just because it's in print?

Apparently so.

Well, at least about 75% believe this kind of garbage.  To me, that is just a sad reflection of what happens when people get lazy.  But people who have the best interest of their own children at heart should never be lazy about keeping those kids as healthy as possible.  My advice, in that regard, is to AVOID DOCTORS (especially pediatricians).
