Beyond easy beer bread

This is one of her older recipes, but I've made it a gazillion different ways and it always turns out great. It's so easy to make you won't believe it until you try!  It's a heavy bread, as you would imagine, but it sure is tasty with soup.  If I cut the slices thinner, this makes a not-bad sandwich, either!

The last loaf I made about a week ago was a hit with my family.  I cut up some green olives and threw those in along with probably about 1 to 1 1/2 cups of Mexican Blend Cheese (think there were 4 or 5 types of cheese mixed together).  Everyone loved it with our chili at our Wednesday night meal.  Everyone was so full we didn't even eat our peach cobbler dessert, so I had to send half of it home with my son and I tossed the rest into the fridge.  It made a yummy mid-afternoon snack the next day!!  I love cobblers, I could eat them for breakfast if I thought I should . . .
