Wood is precious commodity

From the archives of the Gene Logsdon blog.  Terrific reading.  When you get to the bottom of the article after reading it fully, click on the words "Snow Pastures" and that is another interesting read.  I miss his writing since he passed away in July of 2016.  We didn't always agree on every topic but he was a good man and a good writer.

The only problem I see with the idea he sets forth in this article, is that it was a fine idea 30-40 years ago, but nowadays our gubmint is looking for ways to take land away from people and give it to biGAG corporations to grow their worthless, poisonous corn and soy crops, mostly.  Our gubmint and the large corporate AG producers are determined to pollute every square inch of land from coast to coast - and I really don't understand why they would have such a goal, but it is what it is.
