Toxic fragrances

I've never been a fan of anything much besides the smell of something cooking or baking in the kitchen, or good old soap and water!  I often walk down the aisles of the grocery store and am bombarded by what I call the "old lady" smell - - it's something they put into most hair products these days, especially things like hairspray I think. It's also in a lot of lotions and even some cheap bar soaps.  I can't tell exactly where it's coming from but it's a horrible clingly painfully toxic smell/stink.

Personally, I prefer the smell of essential oils or even a little vanilla behind the ear like my gramma used to do.
